The consistent madness surrounding Serenity’s controversial media presence has sparked a lot of pushback and concern for Serenity’s health. News outlets, videos from popular podcasts, and experts in the sports entertainment industry clawed onto the opportunity to deliver their piece about Serenity’s drunken, chaotic incident in New Jersey. While many of the promotions aren’t happy about her behavior, it’s worse that tonight, on SOLSTICE III, she would be receiving a verbal lashing, especially from the members of the Aces. Serenity was not looking forward to being the center of attention, but her choices caused this, and she had to take responsibility.
Serenity is walking backstage dragging her luggage and having the Silver State Championship belt hanging over her right shoulder. She does her best to keep her head down, especially when passing by the other employees and official personnel gossiping about her. Serenity keeps a bee-line to the Aces locker room until she goes close to the door to hear loud arguing from Kevin Mears and Talia Skye. Just as she was about to open the door, she hesitated to walk inside; Serenity decided to turn around and go to another location until the door opened by Kevin waving Serenity inside.
Kevin Mears: …the hell you going? Get in here.
He pointed inside the room and held it there for her while waiting for her to go inside. Serenity didn’t know what to say but slowly walked inside with her head down and gently placed her luggage on the bench before her Locke room. She turned her back and faced Kevin and Talia with her arms folded and eyes narrowed. Even with Kevin becoming the new UPRISING World Champion, it doesn’t ease the tension between him and Talia staring her down intently.
Serenity Holmes: What?
Kevin: Let’s start with you breaking a promise to me about drinking the time before last. We talked about that. You said it wasn’t going to happen again. And again, I find out about some shit on Twitter. So now I know I can’t trust you. This between us? We’ll deal with that when there aren’t cameras present. And I’m holding back what I want to say. Talia, I’ll let you take over. I can’t deal with this with everything else I got going on tonight.
He grabbed his bag and passed Serenity on the way out of their locker room, leaving her with the most tenured veteran of the group. Serenity looked at Talia with an empty facial expression, and her lip quivered, trying her best not to break into a cry.
Serenity Holmes: You’re going to scold me, too, right?
The frustration in Talia's eyes practically burned a hole through Serenity. When she spoke, a cutting firmness was apparent.
Talia: Am I going to scold you? Why would I scold you, Serenity? Have you done something absolutely ridiculous? Have you done something to make a fool of yourself and this team? Of course, I'm going to scold you! Your actions have been immature. Honestly? I was ready to kick you out. So tell me, Serenity… do you think you shouldn't be scolded?
Talia's eyebrow raises, practically daring Serenity to argue. Serenity looks at Talia, then slowly tilts her head down and sighs.
Serenity Holmes: …I’m sorry.
She said it under her breath and looked away. Serenity tried not to cry and couldn’t look Talia in the eyes.
Serenity Holmes: …I’ll leave.
Talia: Good idea. I think you need to take some time to think about how irresponsible and unacceptable you've been. The Aces are Aces because we are the best cards in the deck. You aren't acting like an Ace Serenity. You've been a Joker.
Without another word, Talia points to the locker room door, signaling Serenity to leave her sight. Serenity takes her luggage and Silver State Championship belt with her as she walks out of the locker room without looking back. She continues walking down the hallways, trying to hold back the tears. She takes a moment to gather herself by leaning over an equipment box before grabbing a nearby crate and throwing it into a random tower of equipment boxes, causing it to fall over. The loud crash has other employees in the vicinity leaving the area, and Serenity keeps leaning over the equipment box, burying her head in her arms as she starts sobbing out loud.
She immediately turned around in a quick reaction to hearing that impuding voice in her head haunting her mind. Serenity was frantically looking everywhere, but no one was around. She leaned against the equipment box and held her hand close to her ches,t feeling her breathing getting heavier and her heart rate increasing. She wanted the Aces to understand, everyone to understand, but she was too scared to reveal what happened in her past.
Serenity Holmes: SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
The yell caused nearby employees to scuttle away. The erratic behavior from Serenity warranted attention from personnel to come and assist. Still, Serenity took her luggage and championship belt to the inner garage of the venue from Alberquerque, New Mexico, and waited for her assigned transportation to arrive. A black SUV pulled up in front of her, and the driver opened the back door, allowing them to get inside while her luggage was being loaded-
Serenity Holmes: Wait! Put the luggage in here.
She tapped the seat beside her, and he followed her orders. Once the car had taken off on its journey back to her hotel where she was staying with Kevin, she looked down at the luggage and shook her head again, staring at the window until the visual of her was staring back at her.
Serenity closed her eyes and bit her lip. She clasped her hands together, and her leg was shaking, her foot tapping against the floor, which led to her rocking back and forth. She quickly unzipped the front pocket of her suitcase and removed a small bottle of Casamigos Tequila while keeping an eye on the driver to ensure he has no sight of her. Popping the bottle cap off, she took a small sip and had to digest the solid alcoholic beverage before sliding it back into the front pocket of her luggage.
Driver: Everything okay, Ms. Holmes?
She fixed her hair and clothes, then leaned back into the seat more relaxed.
Serenity Holmes: Yes. I feel better. Thank you. Take me back to the hotel, please.

You’re Embarrassing.

They’ll never accept the real you.

It’s okay. Take a shot. It’ll make you feel better.
