When the video begins playing, the studio Kevin uses for Twitch is seen behind him. The only difference now is he has upgraded the visuals with a neon sign logo as well as displays of his merchandise that can be ordered through a link to his store page seen at the bottom of the screen. He enters the shot and takes a seat in his Secret Labs gaming chair and gets comfortable before he starts to speak.
Kevin: Welcome to the newly named Life of Kevin vlog. That name was chosen in a contest I ran on my X account, which was won by Lilly Lopez. Congratulations to her, that Apple gift card code will be in your email today. There’s a few things I want to go over today with probably the biggest week of my career ahead of me, so let’s dive in and start with Madness this coming Monday from the Manhattan Center where I face…as irony would have it which I’ll explain soon…Chris Mosh.
He’s already grinning and shaking his head as he begins to speak.
Kevin: I know he’s supposedly become a better person, or turned over a new leaf or whatever. If you buy that, fine. Personally I don’t give a shit what he’s feeling about much of anything or saying. He did tweet at me that he respects me, and he definitely should. You always respect your betters, Mosh. I don’t feel the same way about you. You see, I give everyone a chance. I don’t start with preconceived notions about anyone. When someone tells you who they are, believe them. I let them be themselves and I’ll decide what I think about them from there. And Mosh is a guy who hired a woman to give him a free title defense when he was the World Champion in Uprising. Why? Because he’s godawful and knows he couldn’t defeat real competition, which was proven when he lost the title in the second defense against actual deserving opposition. The title he held before that, he held for 14 days. I went on to set a company singles record with it…way past 14 days. He did other things as well while he was the champion, but this isn’t about to be a history lesson on the guy. Suffice it to say, he became the biggest laughingstock in that promotion by anyone who he wasn’t currently paying to like him. And I promise you all come Monday night, he’ll face the stiffest opponent he’s ever met. I don’t hold back against anyone, least of all people I have zero respect for. Just do me a favor, Mosh. Let’s get this over early, because there are places I’d rather be before Madness is over. When this company takes me seriously, I’ll return the favor. And facing YOU….that’s not what I consider taking me seriously as a talent. Though I’ll admit you’re the first opponent I’ve had in XWF that I’m looking forward to humiliating.
He taps his chin as if thinking of something else.
Kevin: Oh yeah before I forget, Sean Parker. The guy who wanted me to resign with XWF and then wanted to know why he should face me. The guy who got arrested recently according to his own tweets, because that’s the guy you want to position as the face of your brand. The guy who basically said at the last Madness along with some other drivel that he got his main event match in the title tournament because of everything he’d done in whatever other companies he’s been part of. I want to thank him. Sean, I said you were entitled, and that whole speech proved it to everyone. Thank you for making my point. Now go face Penelope and focus on her, because I don’t give a shit who wins your match. Hell, I’m gonna be lobbying for the “big opportunity” Carmen Santana to face whoever wins it. I just need you to stop being so obsessed with me unless you forgot you wanted to face me all those weeks ago. Dude’s bipolar. You got nothing I want, nothing I’m interested in. Win that title though? Then I’ll be far more interested in you. Fair? Fair. Now that I’m done with that and talking with you all about Mosh….
He pauses for a moment before a picture of Samantha Tolson appears on the screen next for the viewers.
Kevin: Two days after I drop the dipshit on his head at Madness, I challenge for the Uprising World Championship against Samantha Tolson. The irony I mentioned earlier? Samantha is the one who took the title off Chris Mosh. So in one week, I get to face the last two Uprising World Champions and at least in one case, winning the match is going to matter to my career. Samantha and I had a chat a little while back at Revolution, and we both agreed that the winner would get their hand raised by the loser. See, unlike Mosh, I don’t mind Samantha at all. We agree on a lot of things. Mosh, as an example. Is one of the things we agreed on because we both were clowning that idiot in the leadup to her facing him. To be fair, most everyone was clowning him. Dude should just wrestle with a big red foam nose on his face honestly. And while there are a few things she said I could seize on…I’m not gonna do that to her because I do like her. Plus she’s very tight with Serenity, so that will get you a pass for the most part with me. The biggest difference between us though…it’s how we approach this business.
He leaned back into his chair as he continued.
Kevin: She pretty much laid it out when we talked at Revolution. Just look at her tweets or X’s or whatever they are called now. There’s almost always a gym tweet or picture of her working out preparing for one match or another. Me personally? I don’t do that. I mean…I do work out just to stay in shape but I'm not obsessive about it. See, what’s here…
He points to his biceps.
Kevin: Or here….
He points to his chest.
Kevin: Or here…
Then to his legs.
Kevin: Isn’t as important as what’s in here.
That’s when he tapped his head.
Kevin: Don’t get me wrong, looking phenomenal and staying in peak shape is very good. But in this business, it’s what’s in your head that matters most. I’m very much of the ‘work smarter, not harder’ mindset. I don’t need to be jacked up. I don’t need to spend hours everyday at the gym. And my career for the past year plus proves that. I’ve accomplished everything I wanted in Uprising from the day I got here. And that wasn’t because I spent hours on the elliptical or anything like that. It’s because I have a plan long before you hear my music play for me to go out there. And every plan I’ve had so far….has been flawless. Why? Because I keep getting my hand raised. Like I mentioned to Samantha, I helped Serenity with her strategy when she went onto defeat Tolson. And if I can help someone else defeat her with my planning, I am absolutely positive I can do it. And that’s what will happen at Solstice. I will leave that event as your new Uprising World Champion. Not because I’m stronger than Samantha. Or because I can run faster or hit harder. I don’t know any of those things yet because we’ve never met one on one like this. She may well be all of those things. But I do know I’m smarter than her, because like I said, I’ve helped one person put her down for a three count. And I can damn sure do it for myself with the World Championship on the line. At the end of the day, the last verse is the same as the first. I didn’t come this far or achieve everything I’ve done in Uprising to stumble at the top of the mountain. I’ve proven I can beat her by proxy when it was me helping Serenity plan for their match which she won clean in the center of the ring, and I’m 1000% positive I can do it myself. And as much as I like Samantha and think she’s a helluva athlete, I know I’m better. I am the original Ace after all….
That’s when he leans forward to reach for the camera.
Kevin: That’s about all for now. Next time we have one of these chats, expect to see some gold here with me. Later.
And that’s when the video cuts out.
