When the video begins, the viewers are taken back inside Kevin’s studio he uses for Twitch streaming just like the last time. The only difference is he has decorated it more with posters of himself much of the merchandise he has for sale. But the constant remains as he sits in the same gaming chair with a PlayStation 5 controller in his hands.
Kevin: It’s about that time again, isn’t it? Time to do a little catching up with yours truly. How do you like the new decorations?
He gestures towards his posters hanging from the wall as well as the LED lights spelling his name just over his head behind him.
Kevin: This is where I do my streams on Twitch, also makes a damn good place to talk with you guys a little bit and keep you updated on everything. I know, I know. You don’t see me on Twitter as much as you used to, and that’s mostly because the whole service is trash now. I’m not giving it up, but this is where you’re going to hear most from me for the time being because I’m not limited by characters and can say whatever I want without worrying about the dipshit who runs the platform banishing me. Now let’s see, one thing we talked about last time was contracts. Well I got news on that.
He reaches off screen, and apparently that was to put down his controller before he continues.
Kevin: I already talked about the HGK stuff. Not getting into it again. But as of now, I am no longer under contract to the XWF. I completed the number of matches I agreed to for my first year, and now the Madness brand is under new management, that being Thad. I like Thaddeus alright, we’ve always gotten along on Twitter. But why, you might ask, have I not renewed yet? Well that’s simple. Because for the last year, there has been nothing that’s taken place for me in XWF that had any real meaning to it. It was just random ass matches with people I didn’t care about. And the one match I had that I was looking forward to was Summer, and that didn’t happen because someone jumped her. It wasn’t me, by the way. And I couldn’t tell you where her meat shield was for that. Was he in the bathroom or something? Whoever did it though…I don’t envy them when she finds out. One thing about Summer….she’s a lot more than just a pretty face.
He let out an exasperated sigh as he continued.
Kevin: But like I was saying, the sense of being marginalized for the last year in the company was enough to make me let the contract run out. I didn’t talk to anyone about it running out, I was just happy to be done. That was before Thad took over the reins, and I’m curious to see what he has in store. He’s also reached out to me to see about getting a new deal done, but nothing has happened with that yet because I’m in no rush and still want to see what his plans are first. It’s not like I do this for the love of the sport. I do this to make as much money as I can. I do it because I’m fucking phenomenal at it. But will I return to XWF? We’ll have to wait and see. There’s no promises at this point. I’ll be watching the next Madness on the 31st, I promise that. Now let’s turn attention to Uprising.
He reaches off camera and apparently turns on an image for the lower third of his screen promoting the tag team main event at the next Revolution between Samantha Tolson and Jace Parker-Davidson against Talia Skye and himself on July 26th.
Kevin: Now I already talked about both Jace and Samantha in the last video I recorded, so I’m not going to retread that here. Instead I’m going to talk a little about Talia. What does Talia need me to talk about her for? She doesn’t, but there’s a real sense of people not realizing who she is. A woman who holds the record for being the longest reigning Unity Tag Champion in this company’s history just like I did with the Silver State title, albeit with a partner who cared less and less. But that’s not really her fault, and she made the right call to cut bait and you haven’t seen Reyna since. There’s a reason she’s part of the Aces. That’s partially because she has more experience in the ring than 75% of the people in this business, myself included. She has an inner working knowledge of this sport and this business that only comes with all the time she’s invested her life into it. But see, I don’t expect a lot of people to know that. Because most people don't pay attention to anything but whatever they are doing.
He rolled his eyes as he said it.
Kevin: I used to give Santino shit for this, but to be fair, I see it runs rampant through this business. That’s what makes what I do so much easier, because very few of them can tell you anything that happened that didn't directly affect them. Don’t get me wrong, that just means I have a lot more fun when and if I end up standing across from them because I will absolutely clown them and turn up the spotlight on their ignorance. So whenever I get comments about me or Talia gets them or Serenity hears them, you’re not really getting to us. Unless getting to them is amusing the hell out of us.
That’s when the smile begins to form on his face.
Kevin: On the 26th in this tag match, I’m telling you now that Talia will show up and show out and prove why she’s as good as I say she is. She’s going to be the star of this team, because tag team wrestling….that’s her domain. I know, I know. It’s odd to hear me say someone else will be the star in a match I’m in. But it’s true. I’ve had two tag matches in the past year. They are not my forte for whatever reason. Never really have been. So I know when to talk…and when to listen. I’ll be listening to anything she wants to share with me ahead of this match because that’s what has helped make her into the woman she is in this sport. Underestimate her at your own risk. I’m just saying if I were facing her….I’d take her as seriously as a heart attack.
He leans forward in his seat with his hands loosely clasped in front of him.
Kevin: That brings me to another topic. I have a top candidate in mind to fill the Diamond spot in the Aces. Of course, I’ll have to discuss it with Talia and Serenity. This isn’t a monarchy, after all. I may have founded the Aces, but we all have equal say in what goes on within it. That certainly includes membership. We’ll have that meeting before the next show, so maybe I’ll have an announcement for you on the show. Stay tuned for that.
He reaches off camera again, and the lower third graphic for the match disappears. He also has the PlayStation 5 controller in his hand again.
Kevin: I think that covers everything for the moment, but if something else comes to mind…and it always does, you’ll be hearing from me again right here. Jace and Samantha, got no shit to talk about either of you. Talia and I will see you at Revolution. Despite her tag match being canceled, Serenity will be there too. And maybe the new Diamond too. In the meantime, I got a Twitch stream to get to. Later.
He leans forward before the video cuts off.
