BIRTH NAME: Eric Syzmanski
PLACE OF BIRTH: Wroclaw, Poland
AGE: 31 yrs
FACE CLAIM: Sami Callihan (Bald)
RING NAME: Erik Holland
NICKNAME(S): The Post Traumatic War Machine
BILLED FROM: Silent Hill
HEIGHT: 6'6"
WEIGHT: 303 lbs
ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good. Erik Holland acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws or regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although intrinsically good, may not agree with that of the majority of society.
WHAT BRINGS YOU TO UPRISING? A match with Eli Buchanan. Seriously--UPRISING offered Holland a chance to wrestle one of his all-time favorites. This intrigued Holland enough to ask for a full time contract with UPRISING, so he could find out what other surprises were in store--and what history is there for him to make.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: His personality is simple - he loves wrestling, he loves being a pro wrestler, he credits the business for the reason why he is still alive. At the same time, his intensity bursts through and is 'sold' as teetering on that fine edge between sanity and insanity. Sort of like Sycho Sid where he LOVES, and thrives, being in that mental space and loves the fact that at any moment he could just lose it.
STRENGTHS:
Character - Erik has fully embraced the pageantry of professional wrestling and uses his battles with mental illness to develop his on screen personality, allowing him to forge a deep and lasting connection with his fans. He feels he could NEVER turn his back on his fans, irrespective of whatever happens to him, because theyve always been here for him. Throughout his high powered interviews and the way he approaches wrestling, it's always about giving back to the fans who he says have saved his life. Plus, playing mind games on his opponents--leaving them questioning his sanity, questioning exactly what he could be capable of, is always fun for him.
Fearless - After many years of main event level competition, there's not a situation Holland's ever been in that he's brand new to. Regardless of the opposition's record, reputation, gimmick or the type of match he's going to enter, Erik has been known for and popular because of his ability to adapt.
WEAKNESSES:
Anxiety - Holland's always been afraid of being considered a failure, NO MATTER how successful he has been. He never wants to be considered a 'has been', he never wants to be considered 'overrated'. It's why he continues to try to stay in the main event scene as long as he can.
Injuries - The style Holland wrestles has taken a toll on his body, including breaking his back in two places which cost him two years of in ring competition. He cannot injure his back worse than he has already, but other more cruel wrestlers can target that spot to wear him down and injure him again.
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED:
-He has a childlike love for the professional wrestling industry. He wants to be seen as a badass to men, desirable to women, and beloved as a hero by children.
-He has no problem making the more villainous in the industry suffer for their misdeeds. The fans love that he does not hesitate to make them pay for their sins--as painfully as he wants to.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED:
-He's abrasive, intense, and incredibly violent. Sometimes his thirst for vengeance goes too far. He's fierce, inclined to react incredibly violently to villainous behavior. So in a sense he's something of a 'zealot'. He's hard hearted and his motivations are difficult to understand for normal people.

WRESTLING STYLE:
(Please delete ALL that DO NOT apply to your character)
- THE SPORTS ENTERTAINER: Relies on their charisma and showmanship to mask their limited wrestling ability. They can fight, but not to the level of some of their more skilled peers.
- THE PURIST: Relies on hard-hitting, old-school brawling. Takes the throwback traditional wrestling style and makes it relevant once again.
- THE HOSS: Relies on brute strength and size to dominate their opponent. They don't have much talent in terms of actual wrestling skill, but they can still hurt you.
- THE STRONG STYLIST: Relies on hard-hitting (often stiff) moves and sharp strikes. Whether it's punches, chops, kicks, throws or submission holds, this fighter wants to hit hard, hit fast and hurt their foes.
- THE EXTREMIST: Relies on weaponry and their surroundings to abuse their opponents. Their primary objective, aside from victory, is to maim, bludgeon and incapacitate. Nothing is off-limits for this fighter.
MATCH TENDENCIES:
He's a proponent of the simplistic but narratively beautiful King's Road style in ring. He eschews winning by submission to instead win decisive, clean pinfalls, focusing on telling the stories of his strength and that of the opposition in the ring. He strikes hard, delivers HARD throws and suplexes, and devastating power moves. Likes to drop you on your head and neck, especially.
When in a no-rules environment, it's all about putting his body through unimaginable pain to entertain the fans. The violence he inflicts on himself is only second to what he does to his opponents. He's especially creative with barbed wire, tables and thumbtacks.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: He's approachable, but a man of few words. He says what he needs to. If someone is desperate for backup, he always steps up - mostly just so he can fight somebody.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
(Please delete ALL that DO NOT apply)
- OUT-WRESTLING: Beats the opponent using their preferred wrestling style.
- CEREBRAL: Overcomes the opposition through intelligence, ingenuity and superior ring psychology.
- ULTRA-VIOLENCE: Focused around brutality, using weapons and their surroundings, leaving their opponent no choice but to concede defeat.
IN-RING STRENGTHS:
- Pure Strength - one of the things critics instantly noticed about Erik Holland during his debut in 2014 was his unreal power. This is a solidly built 303 pounder that can dead lift 572 lbs, squat over 660 and bench 523, and he's been able to maintain that God-given ability almost ten years later in his career. This allows him to lift, carry, manipulate and throw opponents regardless of height, shape or size with varying degrees of ease.
- Never Give Up - He's always in the match, no matter how badly he's beaten up. He could turn the tide at any moment as long as he's vertical, as long as he's conscious, as long as he is breathing. This could psych opponents out that just cannot figure out a way to put him away.
- Hard Hitter - He's one of the heaviest hitters in the entire industry. With pro-wrestling staples like forearms, punches, slaps and chops, he lays them in there with chilling force, for visual impact and bluntly just because he loves working stiff. One of those big hits - as a counter or a setup move- could swing the match in his favor at any time.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES:
- He's not a technical wrestler in any capacity. He doesn't know the complicated holds--and doesn't know the counters either. His idea of countering a hold is punching you in the face until you let go. So, more technically sound competitors that have a significant strategy to the match will have a huge advantage.
- His back injuries have stolen his uncanny speed for a guy his size, and so that weakness is twofold. Not only can more cruel wrestlers attack his back for an advantage (and easy heat), quicker wrestlers can work that advantage over him too.
FINISHERS
(Maximum of Two)
1. 'The Toxic Avenger' – Death Valley Driver
OOC: To protect the visual impact of the maneuver, Erik will not attempt the Toxic Avenger unless he wins
SIGNATURE MOVES

Panic Attack - Running European Uppercut. Does it to a standing stunned opponent, as a counter, from behind, in the corner, whatever he can manage. Will spam several in a row if he needs to to keep somebody down.
Death Race 2000 - Sitout Falling Chokeslam. Analog is Damian Priest’s “South of Heaven”
Damnation Alley - Stalling Fallaway Slam. Always good for a huge pop. Either picks up stunned opponent, or catches on a counter and LAUNCHES across the ring after three big steps to the hard camera.
