General Manager’s office

We open up inside of the office of Uprising CEO and acting General Manager Brad Jackson. The wrestling legend turned businessman sits behind his desk leaning back in his seat. His line of vision is focused on something, or rather, someone on the other side of the desk. Jackson’s jaw is clenched tight and he’s quiet. The features on his face read of thought and intensity as he continues to bore a hole into whatever or whoever is on the other side of his desk.
A deep exhale exits the man’s nostrils and begins to lean forward. He grabs a hold of a clipboard with a stack of papers on top of it. He places a pen on top of the papers then slowly slides it to the other side of the desk.
“I’m a busy man and I’m sure that you are also. Regardless, I think I managed to put together a compromise on what we both want out of this thing.” Jackson says as he continues to stare across his desk.
A hand reaches out and takes a hold of the clipboard and pen. Jackson watches as the person flips through the pages on top of the clipboard. He inspects them closely and takes his time looking over the details of each page. Jackson leans forward a little further and places his elbows down onto his desk.
“Problem?” Jackson asks as he folds his hand together and small smirk tugs at his lips.
There is no response from the other person who continues to focus on what is on each page of what Jackson put together. After a few more moments of silence lingering in the air the person lets go of the paperwork and speaks for the first time.
“You’re right, I am quite the busy man and I know you have to manage all of the talent that you have here in Uprising.” The person pauses for a moment. “I honestly thought that you’d just tell me to fuck off before I’d ever find myself seating here with this in front of me.”
“I still might.” Jackson replies quickly which causes the other person to chuckle.
Silence once again took over as the person began to go over the paperwork one more time. Jackson begins to fidget a bit due to his patience wearing thin. Finally, the person reaches for the pen and flips to the last page of the stack in front of him.
“I didn’t expect to break the bank or anything like that, but it seems like you included all of my major sticking points. I think it’ll benefit the both of us, though, I hope it benefits me more than you.” The person says with more of a boisterous laugh.
Jackson narrows his eyes as the person begins to put pen to paper. When done, the person places the pen down onto the stack of papers and slides the entire thing back towards Jackson. The CEO grabs a hold of the paperwork and looks it over himself to make sure that all the I’s are dotted and all the T’s were crossed. Once satisfied, Jackson places the paperwork down then rises to her feet.
“Looks like everything is in order.” Jackson extends his hands out across the desk. “Welcome to Uprising, Jace.”
For the first time we see the identity of the person to indeed be Jace Parker Davidson. The newly signed Uprising wrestler remains in his seat and raises his eyebrow towards Jackson and his outstretched hand.
“Really?” Jace scoffs. “After all these years and everything, you’re just going to offer me a handshake?”
Before Jackson can respond, Jace pulls himself out of his chair and walks to the side of Jackson’s desk with both of his arms spread wide.
“Bring it in, you salty son of a bitch, it’s been too long!” Jace continues to approach the CEO whose eye begins to twitch a bit.
Jace pulls Jackson in close and hugs him tightly. Jackson looks uncomfortable to say the least but ultimately gives Jace a pat on the back with one hand.
“I hope you know I’m going to fucking destroy your entire roster.” Jace says in a low tone as he continues to embrace the CEO.
“You’ll be quite surprised by what the Uprising roster is capable of when the chips are down.” Jackson responds as the two men finally pull apart from the embrace.
“I look forward to finding that out but for now I get to focus on Justin York. That little asshole talks a lot of trash and this whole retirement tour of his is kind of ridiculous. He thinks that he can use me as some warmup match to face Thaddeus Duke at the DPI event. He’ll be lucky to make it that match in one piece.” Jace says confident.
“You’ll get York in due time, but you have something to worry about before then.” Jackson reveals.
“What are you going to do? Make me do some kind of meet and greet?” Jace says nonchalantly.
“Actually…” Jackson moves over to his desk and grabs a hold of a sheet of paper. “You’re being booked for our Frozen Fury event in Chicago. Your debut in Uprising isn’t going to be against Justin York, it’s going to be against this person.”
Jackson passes the piece of paper over towards Jace. The Uprising newcomer looks down at it and his eyes widen a bit. There is a smile on Jackson’s face from Jace’s reaction as we see the name listed across from Jace’s on the card.
MOLLY HATCHET
Jace takes a moment to soak it all in then nods his head up and down as he hands the paper back to Jackson.
“Okay.” Jace wiggles his fingers a little bit as he starts to think about the challenge before him. “Straight into the fire it is. I like that. I guess we’ll see if I’m truly Uprising material in Chicago. I couldn’t think of a better place to do it.”
Jace smirks before turning around the leave the office as Jackson sits back down behind his desk.
