WHAT BRINGS YOU TO UPRISING?
Zachary Reznik was an up-and-coming star in the independent scene, much like his fraternal twin sister. However, since he wasn't blonde and pretty, he had to make his name doing actual work (or so he'll joke with close friends). His experience equates only to small independent promotions within the midwestern United States of America after rising from a promotion based in Colorado. The more brutal the promotion, the more interested that he was in it. He traveled from company to company, looking to push and earn his name.
On an evening of one of his last major matches, talent scouts were in the arena. However, tragedy befell that night which nearly pushed him to leave professional wrestling. If it wasn't for the smart words of one of those talent scouts who brought him into his training facility to teach him proper mechanics so that tragedy would never happen again, he would have left. Now, he restyles his name as KERBEROS and has come to Uprising to make a name for himself.
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: A lot of wrestlers with the silent, 'grr' type of death gimmick that KERBEROS has isn't his cup of tea. He's that kid who's trying to make his way and become a name, become someone worth a damn, and he refuses to do it with the support of anyone else. Stubborn, Proper, more likely to tell you to fuck off than he is agree with. He severely dislikes working with others and he's definitely the eptiome of a "lone wolf". *NOTE: Since he is proper, on camera, he will not speak in contractions. Can't, won't, couldn't, etc. don't exist in his vocabulary.
STRENGTHS: Intelligent, creative, able to learn.
WEAKNESSES: Arrogant, closed-minded to others, unrelenting.
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED: KERBEROS has a shitload of integrity, and he does cater to the fans when it comes to the levels of brutality that he'd like to reach. He is, however, more likely to be booed.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED: As stated a few times, he's not exactly the most friendly of people in the world. He won't work with others, he won't lend a hand if someone is in need, and he's definitely more likely to shrug and walk away. He cannot be tamed and he's more likely to pick a fight than calmly talk through something.
REASONS TO COMPETE:
- GLORY: Your character is all about winning and cannot stand to lose. It sends them into a rage. They have to be the very best and they'll stop at nothing – for better or worse – to achieve that.
- BLOODLUST/VIOLENCE: Your character gets a thrill from the violence. For them, winning and losing is secondary to being able to spill the blood of another human being.
- PASSION: All your character has ever wanted to do is wrestle. It's in their blood; their DNA. They eat, breathe and live this sport and for them it's a way of life.
ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEAMWORK:
- ARMY OF ONE: They cannot be relied upon to work together. They came into the world alone and will go out alone. They are the epitome of lone wolf.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Sometimes
THEME SONG: 'GLASSHOUSE' – AVIIRA
WRESTLING EXPERIENCE: 02
WRESTLING STYLE:
- THE PURIST: Relies on hard-hitting, old-school brawling. Takes the throwback traditional wrestling style and makes it relevant once again.
- THE TECHNICIAN: Relies on a catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling, featuring a variety of suplexes, submission holds and ground-based wrestling.
- THE STRONG STYLIST: Relies on hard-hitting (often stiff) moves and sharp strikes. Whether it's punches, chops, kicks, throws or submission holds, this fighter wants to hit hard, hit fast and hurt their foes.
- THE EXTREMIST: Relies on weaponry and their surroundings to abuse their opponents. Their primary objective, aside from victory, is to maim, bludgeon and incapacitate. Nothing is off-limits for this fighter.
MATCH TENDENCIES: He's a bit of a dick, no lie. His primary goal is to win, and he doesn't quite care how he gets there. If it's making his opponent miserable enough to tap, he'll do that. If it's forcing people to land on their neck, he'll do that. If it's murder -- well, he won't go that far, but he'll make you wish you were. He's more methodical than anything and he's not likely to taunt anyone either. Straight forward, kick 'em in the teeth kinda guy.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: He's unlikely to work with people. He's also unlikely to interact unless someone else interacts with him first -- and if you throw a punch, better know you're gonna get into a brawl. He doesn't take shit.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
(Please delete ALL that DO NOT apply)
- CEREBRAL: Overcomes the opposition through intelligence, ingenuity and superior ring psychology.
- ULTRA-VIOLENCE: Focused around brutality, using weapons and their surroundings, leaving their opponent no choice but to concede defeat.
IN-RING STRENGTHS:
1. PAIN TOLERANCE -- His pain tolerance is almost akin to none, and he will fight through anything thrown at him. It takes a significant amount of get him to tap out, and if he does, it should be an accomplishment. Will his body respond appropriately to being worn down? Yes. Does he care? No.
2. JOINT MANIPULATION -- KERBEROS was that kid who took karate and delighted in hurting the person he was sparring, no matter what he said to keep him out of trouble. He studied jujutsu into his high school, used it as a self-defense technique when needed and during his courses in occupational therapy in college, learned the actual anatomy he intended to fuck with in the future. Now, it's just a method of disrupting his opponents and having fun with it.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES:
1. ROOKIE -- Don't all rookies say that being a rookie is a weakness? Well, it is until it isn't. KINGDOM is really his first full fledged promotion.
2. SPEED -- He's not the fastest, and that can be a major detriment.
3. TEMPERAMENTAL -- Good lord, he can go from zero to sixty in less than five seconds.
