BIRTH NAME: Ross Hanson
PLACE OF BIRTH: Columbus, OH
AGE: 22
FACE CLAIM: Brian Pillman Jr.
RING NAME: Ross Hanson
NICKNAME:Grovit, U.Y.A.
BILLED FROM: Columbus, OH
HEIGHT: 6' 1"
WEIGHT: 241 lbs
ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Evil
WHAT BRINGS YOU TO UPRISING?
Two words: Graham, and Clauson.
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: Ross will fight the world over a cheeseburger, just because he's that jaded about his life. He grew up homeless, his family is messed up, and he is finally at a breaking point in his life and sanity.
STRENGTHS:
– Streetsmarts (when you live on the streets from 8 to 19 in a big city, you learn a few things)
– Sense Of Humor (sometimes borderline not taking anything serious)
– Instinct (despite being so young, Ross has nearly all of the genetic qualities of a good wrestler both physically and mentally)
WEAKNESSES:
– Emotional Sensitivity (Ross never got the help he needed to deal with the things he went through as a child, or even the things he has gone through as an adult. This makes him easy to lash out and deny, especially towards valid criticisms that he is unable to see in himself.)
– Stubborness (this is where the whole "fight the world for a cheeseburger" thing comes into play)
– Booksmarts (Ross had to teach himself to read, and doesn't even have a GED).
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED: If you came for stiff, Grovit is your new favorite wrestler.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED: Piss-poor attitude. Plain and simple.
REASONS TO COMPETE:
- BLOODLUST/VIOLENCE: Your character gets a thrill from the violence. For them, winning and losing is secondary to being able to spill the blood of another human being.
- PASSION: All your character has ever wanted to do is wrestle. It's in their blood; their DNA. They eat, breathe and live this sport and for them it's a way of life.
ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEAMWORK:
- RELUCTANT SOLDIER: Your character would always prefer to fight alone but will reluctantly join forces with someone if it's for a good cause or a common goal.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Often
THEME SONG: 'Smoko' – The Chats (https://youtu.be/j58V2vC9EPc)
WRESTLING EXPERIENCE: 3 years amateur, 3 years professional
WRESTLING STYLE:
- THE HOSS: Relies on brute strength and size to dominate their opponent. They don't have much talent in terms of actual wrestling skill, but they can still hurt you.
- THE PURIST: Relies on hard-hitting, old-school brawling. Takes the throwback traditional wrestling style and makes it relevant once again.
- THE TECHNICIAN: Relies on a catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling, featuring a variety of suplexes, submission holds and ground-based wrestling.
- THE STRONG STYLIST: Relies on hard-hitting (often stiff) moves and sharp strikes. Whether it's punches, chops, kicks, throws or submission holds, this fighter wants to hit hard, hit fast and hurt their foes.
MATCH TENDENCIES: Throw people around, hit them really hard, and grab a handful of tights on the roll-up just to make sure.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: You're probably best off just leaving Grovit alone. He's not here to make friends.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
- OUT-WRESTLING: Beats the opponent using their preferred wrestling style.
IN-RING STRENGTHS:
- Strength: Just that. Raw, unadulterated strength.
- MMA: Ross has an MMA record of 6-2 and is a former GFC heavyweight Champion.
- Genetics: Ross is the son, nephew, great nephew, and grandson of multiple-time World Champions and Hall Of Famers.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES:
- Speed: Ross put on 20 pounds of muscle, sacrificing agility and movement range in the process.
- Attitude: Ross’s bad attitude will inevitably lead to clashes with fans, which are an excellent way for your opponent to take advantage.
- Mental state: Ross probably needs to have an assessment done. Until then, he's going to make weird decisions on the fly.
