EPISODE I: THE FORGOTTEN VILLAIN
CUT TO:
EXT. JACK’S HOME — ABANDONED TRAILER PARK — SOUTHERN NEVADA
You can tell that this trailer park has been abandoned for quite some time from the opening shot. Maybe a couple of decades. Almost all the trailers show signs of abuse—years and years of neglect. Windows broken. Doors missing. Shit, even a few units appear to be missing their roofs in this desert wasteland of a scene. Someplace off the beaten path. A place you would go when you’re not looking to be found.
The perfect home for Jack “The Villain” Owyns. Who at this very moment is outside, enjoying the beautiful day in a pair of steel toe boots that he may or may not have found in one of the trailer homes. Laces missing, and if you look close enough, you’ll see his toes. They are kind of like sandal boots now. Oh, and he’s also wearing just a pair of white boxers with a yellow smiley face printed on his ass and a pair of cool ass aviators that you’d probably find at any 7eleven for $9.99.
Jack’s BBQ on a grill that looks like it came right from the ’70s. You know those ones that look like they are light as a feather, but when you go to lift it, you throw out your fucking back. But right now, this isn’t about Jack. It’s about...

EXT. TRAILER ROOF — JACK’S HOME — CONTINUOUS
...The girl sitting on the roof of the trailer close to the makeshift tv antenna. A 2x4 with a bunch of coat hangers taped to it, which allows you to find a bar or two of reception for some unexplained reason.
MACKENZIE GREENE. Jack’s daughter. Who now is the big thirteen years old. Which let me tell you something. Jack doesn’t fear anybody, but he’s gone to bed a few times lately with both eyes wide fucking open. When, as Jack would say it. She turns into the spawn of satan.
Mackenzie on the phone, almost hugging the makeshift tv antenna as she talks to her mother. Who’s name is not worth mentioning because she’s a whore, and most likely is actually satan.
MACKENZIE GREENE
[SIGH]...But it sucks so bad out here. He doesn’t
even have a TV anymore.

even have a TV anymore.
Unheard audio from the phone.
MACKENZIE GREENE
No. What do you think- He broke it. He didn’t
take the news well of being a show
opener, I guess.
More unheard audio from the other end of the phone.
MACKENZIE GREENE
Nobody probably even remembers who he
is. He’s all old and washed up—

EXT. BACKYARD-FRONT YARD — CONTINUOUS
Jack’s no longer BBQ. Instead, he’s looking up at Mackenzie, pointing the spatula in her direction.
JACK OWYNS
First thing! I can hear you. Second thing— I’m
36, why does everybody keep thinkin’ I’m
fuckin’ old. Don Tirri has wrinkles as old as
me, and he’s doin’ fine!

CUT TO:
EXT. TRAILER ROOF — CONTINUOUS
Mackenzie rolls her eyes and gives Jack her back as she switches her phone from one ear to the other.
JACK OWYNS (OS)
Hey! Oh, you little—
MACKENZIE GREENE
No, Jackie’s just annoying.
Hey! Oh, you little—
MACKENZIE GREENE
No, Jackie’s just annoying.
A half-cooked hamburger explodes off the makeshift antenna. That makeshift TV antenna may look like a piece of shit, but it’s built quite sturdy.
Mackenzie raises her hand, not holding the phone, and flips Jack the finger. She really is just like her father, you know.
More unheard audio from the phone, which sounds like a mouse chirping or nagging.
MACKENZIE GREENE
I don’t think he’s even taking it
seriously, mom. You should
see how he’s training—

CUT TO:
EXT. TRAILER PARK ENTRANCE — EARLIER IN THE DAY
Jack’s lying inside a wheelbarrow, wearing his boot sandals and a very grubby, dirty-looking housecoat. We aren’t sure what the color is, because it’s just that dirty. Sipping from a coffee-to-go cup, which we are also going to go out on a limb and say is not coffee.
Jack’s also being pushed around by his manager ODDBALL. Who still hasn’t learned to wear all black in the heat of the desert sun. Who looks moments away from dying of dehydration.
CUT TO:
EXT. TRAILER ROOF — PRESENT
JACK OWYNS (OS)
You don’t have to be super fuckin’ fit to be
a wrestler. Go to the gym every
day— eat fucking tofu. All you have
to do is be more intelligent than your
opponent. Trust me, I’m brighter than
Tyson Deuce.
MACKENZIE GREENE
Hold on mom—

MACKENZIE GREENE
Hold on mom—
Mackenzie doesn’t look at Jack but instead looks up. Like that, somebody help me look when you see a person look up to the sky, just done with it. Over with it.
MACKENZIE GREENE (CONT’D)
Filling a cup with uncooked eggs and
then pour half bottle of rum in it—
JACK OWYNS (OS)
That’s what puts hair on the old chest.
MACKENZIE GREENE (CONT’D)
—Isn’t something a smart person would
do. Sorry mom, I have to go. Love you.

Mackenzie ends the call before standing up. The little devil is visibly angry as she turns and faces her father. Fist clenched. Looking ready to explode for no reason at all. Teenagers. One minute they angry, then the next laughing, then cry, then trying to smother you with a pillow when you sleep.
MACKENZIE GREENE
You want to know the truth—
JACK OWYNS (OS)
Not really.
MACKENZIE GREENE (CONT’D)
—You’re just a joke, Jackie, to the wrestling
world. You are the guy that hasn’t done
anything credible in ten years, and every
few years, show up, do nothing, or does
something stupid and disappears again.
You suck, and the wrestling world has
forgotten about you. That’s the truth.

Mackenzie turns and stomps away.
CUT TO:
EXT. BACKYARD-FRONT YARD — CONTINUOUS
Jack just watches Mackenzie storm away. Listening to here rather aggressive foot stomping across his roof. Who is lucky she looks like a fucking toothpick because if she had any weight. Jack wouldn’t have a roof anymore. Not because Jack’s not feeding her. He may live in the boonies. His house may be run by a generator, and his choice of fashion may leave many questions, but the truth is. Jack’s pretty well off, and his daughter would never go hungry. Remember never judge a book by its cover.
Oddball walks into the picture. Still dressed head to neck in black, but this time, he got one of those over-the-top beach hats on.
ODDBALL
You think she’s upset?
You think she’s upset?
Jack shrugs.
JACK OWYNS
You think I suck?
ODDBALL
No boss.
JACK OWYNS
You think the wrestling world forgot
about me?
ODDBALL
No boss.

Jack just continues staring off into the distance. He never did raise a liar.
