I heard the screaming from down the street and instantly started sprinting toward it. Every footstep I heard clapping against the cold ground rang in n my ear as the screaming got nearer. I rounded the corner and made a bee-line down a secluded alleyway. There she was, still screaming. She was trapped between a wall and a gargantuan of a man. He held her purse in one hand and her throat in the other. People like this guy made me sick. Targeting someone because they looked weak and alone. Not today dickhead. I charged the man and didn’t think of the consequences. I started throwing punch after punch, eventually knocking the man to the ground. I sat on top of his chest, throwing repeated blows to his face until I was ripped off of him. I looked back to see what was happening and the flashing red lights in the distance told the tale. There she was, leaning against shoddy concrete wall in the alley, being interviewed by a police officer. He had wrapped a blanket around her, but her shivering was obvious. The cop rolled the battered man over and placed him in handcuffs, as he dragged me towards the girl. He wasn’t gentle about the motion, but once in front of the lady he asked her if she knew me.
She told the cop that I had saved her, but had no idea who I was and why I had saved her. I didn’t even know why I had done it, but someone had to. If I hadn’t been there to save her, he could’ve killed her. We’ve all heard the stories of men going after women for countless reasons. Whether it’s for a quick cash grab, their car, sexual assault, or even flat out murder. I didn’t know his intention but wasn’t going to stick around to find out either. Fuck that guy. Hs a criminal and deserves to rot in a cell. The cop started to pull me away as another cop asked if she knew the other man and her response shocked the hell out of me. It was her boyfriend. What kind of vile piece of shit does that to their girlfriend? It turns out that he was jealous she was going out with some friends and was trying to take her keys away. What a dick.
Two cops escorted me back to my car and told me to have a good night. They said I should be more careful and that instead of being a superhero to just call the cops next time. They were just glad I didn’t get hurt in the process. Shit, if I were them I would’ve just handed over a reward for an act of bravery this bold. The cops released me from their custody as soon as we got to my car, just in time to hear the SNAP. Fucking paparazzi. Always catching us at the wrong time. I cant wait to read that headline.
----------
I don't wanna be a superhero
'Cause I can't save the world
So I'm never gonna get the girl
I just wanna do better
The words rang out over my Air Pods, as I pranced around my studio, searching for inspiration. Some people read for inspiration, some cook, some draw. I listen to music, before I make music. Somehow, my thoughts kept racing back to the girl from the alley. Was she okay? Is he torturing her still? I needed to clear my head. I had the biggest match of my career approaching at Coronation. I had talked a lot of shit ahead of the match and needed to back it up. Before, it wasn’t a big deal, win or lose, I just wanted to put on a show for the fans that they would be talking about for years to come. Now, it was about winning. I needed to prove to myself, and my fans, that I made the right choice in signing with Uprising. Saw is the gatekeeper, and I am the underdog.
I scrolled through my twitter feed out of habit to get lost for just a few minutes before I hit the booth and there it was. The headline read “H.O.T" gets arrested ahead of pro wrestling debut. Dammit, I knew this shit would happen. Scumbags selling a story for likes. This is the last thing I needed heading into Coronation. The fans were all I had in this moment. They couldn’t turn on me now.
Producer
“Times up. Let’s go, Hayden.”
The producer was ready. It was time. Time to show the world who H.O.T really was. Time to show SAW, why he was wrong about me. Time to kick that smirk off of his filthy face. I was going to bring the whole damn roof off of the building once my music hit and I came down to the ring.
H.O.T
“Let’s do it."
I walked into the booth and the fire came out. That feeling only came when I knew the deck was stacked against me. My whole life I had been doubted. Now, it’s time to show them. Show HIM, just how violent I could get. My lips hit the microphone and it was time to shine.
H.O.T
Headed to the liquor store
Getting’ prepared for the war
Against the man they call SAW
Doesn’t fuckin' matter.
I’ll still break his damn jaw
He'll try to escape before the violence
Before the bloodshed and tears
When we’re done, there wont be silence.
