WHAT BRINGS YOU TO UPRISING?
After several years of being off the radar, Tirri managed to find a way to rekindle his waning career in a way he didn’t expect. Invigorated by his newfound drive, he looked for a new place to ply his trade, something made difficult by all the bridges he had burned in his past. He found Uprising.
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW:
Tirri is a veteran of the business. Never having made it big because of his personality that rubs people the wrong way, his temper that causes him to say and do things that get him in trouble, he has over the years become a somewhat bitter man with a bevy of personal demons to contend with. He is rash, obnoxious, doesn’t give a toss about the feelings and/or opinions of others but at the same time, his experience has translated into a wealth of knowledge about the business and how it works.
STRENGTHS:
-Experience. With over 20 years of experience in the business he has seen pretty much everything there is to see and done a good chunk as well
- Smarter than he looks. Behind the worn down appearance and the often lowbrow presentation is a sharp wit and a wealth of knowledge that helps him get an upper hand when needed.
- Zero fucks to give. He doesn’t care what others think about him or if he hurts someone. Almost nothing gets under his skin or throws him off his game due to this.
- Nothing to lose. He has nothing to stop him from doing whatever necessary to get what he wants. He spent years with rock bottom as his permanent residence so no matter what happens to him, he can’t fall further than he has already been to
- Verbal ability. Tirri talks. A LOT. He can and usually will find whatever chink in anyone has in their armor and assault it relentlessly. Combined with the above points, it makes him very effective at knocking his opponents off their game.
WEAKNESSES:
-Personality. He is a hard man to get along with. Condescending, lecherous, lacking empathy. He also has a hair trigger temper that more often than not gets the best of him.
- Not as smart as he thinks he is. While possessing a sharp with and a wealth of knowledge, he often overestimates his advantage on that avenue, underestimating the other side and talking himself into a corner.
- Zero fucks to give. Yes, it is also a weakness. He often gets into trouble because of his mouth. While he doesn’t care what people think of him or how he offends people, he has burned more than one bridge in his life simply by saying something that was best left unsaid.
- Nothing to lose. Yes. Also a weakness. Makes him reckless, impatient and thinking he’s invulnureable. Whether it be mental, physical or social repercussions, he doesn’t give a seconds thought to those.
ALIGNMENT:
Chaotic Good
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED:
He has a natural charisma and confidence about him. Some might enjoy his no hold barred-verbalism, others might find his straightforward take no prisoners wrestling style enjoyable.
Some might cheer him simply because he’s less of a dick than the other guy.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED:
Since he lacks any regard for the feelings of others, it’s not hard to imagine why he’d rub people the wrong way. If you boo him, he’s just as likely to fan the flames as he is to try to change your mind.
REASONS TO COMPETE:
- BLOODLUST/VIOLENCE: Your character gets a thrill from the violence. For them, winning and losing is secondary to being able to spill the blood of another human being.
- MONEY IN THE BANK: Your character wants to be rich beyond their wildest dreams and sees wrestling (coupled with endorsements and celebrity status) as a means to achieve that.
- PASSION: All your character has ever wanted to do is wrestle. It's in their blood; their DNA. They eat, breathe and live this sport and for them it's a way of life.
ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEAMWORK:
- ARMY OF ONE: They cannot be relied upon to work together. They came into the world alone and will go out alone. They are the epitome of lone wolf.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Rarely
THEME SONG: 'Ace of Spades' - Motörhead
WRESTLING EXPERIENCE: Between 20 and 25 years
WRESTLING STYLE:
- THE SPORTS ENTERTAINER: Relies on their charisma and showmanship to mask their limited wrestling ability. They can fight, but not to the level of some of their more skilled peers.
- THE PURIST: Relies on hard-hitting, old-school brawling. Takes the throwback traditional wrestling style and makes it relevant once again.
- THE HOSS: Relies on brute strength and size to dominate their opponent. They don't have much talent in terms of actual wrestling skill, but they can still hurt you.
- THE STRONG STYLIST: Relies on hard-hitting (often stiff) moves and sharp strikes. Whether it's punches, chops, kicks, throws or submission holds, this fighter wants to hit hard, hit fast and hurt their foes.
- THE EXTREMIST: Relies on weaponry and their surroundings to abuse their opponents. Their primary objective, aside from victory, is to maim, bludgeon and incapacitate. Nothing is off-limits for this fighter.
MATCH TENDENCIES:
Hit Hard, Hit Fast. When he isn’t punching your face in he’s yapping your ear off with a constat stream of trashtalk. Doesn’t do complex sequences or pretty acrobatics. Just good old fashioned bar fighting.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES:
He is approachable, but more likely to make fun of your and/or take jabs at your expense than to have a friendly chat.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
- OUT-WRESTLING: Beats the opponent using their preferred wrestling style.
- ULTRA-VIOLENCE: Focused around brutality, using weapons and their surroundings, leaving their opponent no choice but to concede defeat.
IN-RING STRENGTHS:
- Experience. Knows every trick in the book and a few that aren’t in the book.
- Size and Strength. While not huge, he’s big enough that his blows carry a substantial weight. Can also absorb a considerable amount of punishment before falling over.
- Trashtalk. Can take his opponent off their game with a nonstop barrage of trashtalk, causing them to lose focus or get angry and thus making mistakes.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES:
- Age. He isn’t as young as he used to be. This shows in his reduced stamina and limitations in mobility, both in respects to agility and speed.
- Limited arsenal. He’s a fighter. While he can pull off a few rudimentary holds and throws, kicking and punching is his game plan for the majority of times.
- Recklessness. If his game plan isn’t delivering, he starts taking bigger and bigger risks, eventually ending up hurting himself more than the opponent.
