With all the front office chaos over the past year, it's been rough trying to keep on top of my duties as well as a weekly (or even bi-monthly) column. That being said, we've got some news to report tonight on the heels of our final show of 2023.
Had to do a bit of digging on this one, but it turns out in January of 2022, right in the middle of Larry Gowan's OPRAH WINFREY title shot giveaway blitz, he kinda-sorta-vaguely promised one to our resident ne'er do well dragoness over social media. No really. He did. And even though his account is gone, I used the Wayback Machine to dredge it back from the aether because nothing ever disappears online. Everyone knows that.
Almost 2 years old, but it's in print so the board had no choice but to honor it! Don't get me wrong, LG is a stand-up guy, but his desire to placate everyone who whined, bitched or moaned made him the absolute worst leader this company ever had.
...because Summer, Talia and Ethan Atlas were barricaded in the Aces' private locker room by The Black Crusade, of course. She'd said it more than once: Kalinda is a master at villainy and the upset at Unleashed was a master class in chicanery.
The longest reigning UPRISING champion of all time has finally claimed the gold that has been eluding her since that very first tournament. It's actually surreal to see that only three of the original superstars that were with us at the time of launch are still here... and that now ALL THREE have held that top accolade: SAMANTHA TOLSON, CHRIS MOSH and now KALINDA KRIEGSDOTTIR.
I, for one, welcome our new dragoness champion and wish her all the best in 2024.
I've heard some rumblings that The Board may be giving out some year end awards and bonuses in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for that.
JUSTIN YORK has been released from the remainder of his contract due to an undisclosed injury. More on this as soon as we have clarification on the full situation.
DONOVAN BASCH should be back in action in 2024, according to his representation. We look forward to seeing him return at 100% and get back to those winning ways.
That's all for now. Thanks for tuning in, Revolutionaries!

WHERE (AND HOW) THE HELL DID KALINDA GET A TITLE SHOT?!

WHERE WERE THE ACES AND WHY DIDN'T THEY MAKE THE SAVE?
