TEAM NAME: THE RING CREW
TEAM MEMBERS: PYRO & ENIGMA
BILLED FROM: the Boiler Room
TEAM/FACTION BIOGRAPHY: The pair met in Plano, Texas at the WCWF developmental facility in 2002, working first as jobbers before being paired together for a random tag match. They worked so well together that it became a permanent thing and the two formed the legendary veteran curtain-jerking tag team called The Ring Crew. The pair worked for the next twelve years in such notable late 90's promotions as the World Class Wrestling Federation and Pure Elite Wrestling to name a few. When WCWF closed its doors for good in 2003, Pyro began to manage Enigma, working as his mouthpiece although he was spotted wrestling the occasional match in high school gymnasiums and rec-centers throughout the Midwest. Most recently, the pair worked in WWH's Asylum brand for 6 months in 2018, acting as enforcers for the Warden at the time, their long-time friend veteran Brad Jackson. When that gig ended, the pair went back to the dusty gyms and bouncing around between various independent promotions.
ALIGNMENT: chaotic neutral (leaning more evil when Pyro is the legal man and more good when Enigma is the legal man)
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED: Enigma is super over with the fans. They absolutely love him for some bizarre reason.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED: Pyro's blatant cheating and/or abuse of his partner's good and trusting nature.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Sometimes
THEME SONG: 'Desert Search for Techo Allah' – Mr. Bungle
MATCH TENDENCIES: 100% focus on the opponents, unless Enigma gets distracted by something shiny.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: Enigma loves his fans and fellow humans and will try to socialize although he's awkward because his English isn't the best and he has an accent. Pyro is quick to remind him that he's stupid and his opinion is worthless and will try to shoo people away from the big man, lest he lose his control over him.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
- OUT-WRESTLING: Beats the opponent using their preferred wrestling style.
TEAM FINISHERS
1. Crash & Burn [Shoulder Mount Suplex (Enigma) / Springboard Lariat (Pyro)]
2. Flamethrower (Pyro's assisted [by Enigma] frogsplash) *only used when Pyro is the legal man*
TEAM SIGNATURE MOVES
1. 'From Russia With Love' – Double Russian Legsweep
2. Double Back Elbow Smash
3. Camel Clutch (Pyro) / Big Boot (Enigma)
4. Doomsday Device
BACKSTAGE APPEARANCES: Do you want segments and/or backstage interactions to be written FOR YOU or would you prefer to submit your own?
- YES: I'm absolutely fine with having my segments written for me and I'll just sell what happens via Twitter or CD writing.
