Some would say it’s not the smartest thing, leaving a trail that could come back to haunt you. Those same people however, are the kind who gloss over the circumstances that lead to those decisions. They’re not the ones who had to pretend to be clueless, eyeing a scene that was sworn to be a tragic end. They didn’t have to have those conversations which led to abandonment by those who were meant to be trusted before. Most of all, they weren’t the ones who had to immediately begin plotting when all that was wanted was a moment to absorb the tiniest bit of hope flashed on a tiny hotel suite screen. It may not be smart, but it’s the only way I feel I can hang on to the point of all this because with my luck, they’ll all try to change the narrative and make me out to be the villain. That doesn’t just go for the ones who’ve further complicated this situation, but the ones who started it in the first place. So here we are, with me moments away from making this happen. I have put everything on the line for the sake of atonement and there’s no turning back.

I thought my simple signature would be enough, maybe have that one follow, but alas she seems to be going the same route he has of being incredibly selfish. Living with the false sense of doing well for others when underneath making it all about them. Their wants, their needs. Seems to be a very common and... familiar trait amongst them. While I admittedly indulged in that for a time, I’ve since grown up and am doing all I can to make up for it. So I’ll use what assets I can and then discard once the mission is complete… well, maybe. We’ll see where the mood takes me.
One thing is for certain, with this slight hiccup I’m going to have to make new moves, and ones I’m sure will eat away at my soul just like this whole situation has. I have to make this work though so the pain will be worth it. I was smart enough to obtain a certain level of trust from them to even get myself in this position, so I need to continue that trend with this latest batch. I don’t want to have to call upon certain resources, but will if I must. Until that time, which will hopefully never come, I shall give my best. Bright eyes, brighter smile. It’s time for the show.

Clapping my hands together, I let that cheerful spirit take hold. Looking at the world through her eyes was that dose of blinding fun I needed to get by each day, which is strange considering I know I’m not wrong in this ordeal. Either way I wish it would last, maybe one day it will. Perhaps after all this is over, but I can’t help wishing that right about now I had that blissful bit of help the management would force down our throats. It sure would kick the anxiety away.
I can’t dwell on it too much or she will fade so I continue on moving, a little extra pep in my step bordering on skipping. Along the way I offer smiles and waves. Keep them clueless, princess. You’re doing a wonderful job. While I knew exactly where I was heading, I thought it best to play the part of the lost as I approached this stagehand. After all, rapports are more easily built when the person on the other end swears they’re lending a hand, being the good samaritan, and word spreads fast about the attitude of others.
“Oh! Hello! I am Kamari, so nice to meet you!” With the cheesy smile I received in kind with my own, yeah.. I got this. “Ahh yeah, Kamari. You’re one of the latest signings with the company, right?” The temptation to retort in a smart fashion was strong, but I bit my tongue, determined to get through this. “Yes, that is me! I wanted to ask if this is okay. I need help to find where I go for the camera. I have to say nice hello to all the fans and my new friends so I do not want to be late!” His eyes lit up a touch, exactly as planned. “I’ll be more than happy to help.” Of course you would be sweetheart. “You’re actually not too far off. If you keep heading down this way and make a left, the first door you see will be where recordings of the like are taking place today.” Gently and loosely placing my hands on each of the guy’s arms I gave a little jump for joy, showing off that genuine gratitude Kamari would have. “Oh thank you so much! You are so nice to help me. I will go now and do my best. I will see you later!”
Showing off another sweet smile I quickly made my way from the ‘kind gentleman’ making sure to not go too fast or I’d give away that I knew my steps. Eventually I made my way to the little makeshift studio they had going on, patiently waiting for my turn to talk. I had to admit I liked the setup. It wasn’t anything too fancy, but still showed care. Really makes me wish I could enjoy it. With a sigh I internally said ‘oh well’ and stepped forward when it was finally my go. Giving off that rainbow bright charm, I answered a few simple questions before beginning my spiel. One minute? No problem. Watch and learn.
“みなさん、こんにちは! This is happy rainbow Kamari here to say hello and wish all of you love! I am so happy to be with Uprising for wrestling and will do my best to honor their efforts to have me with many great matches and victory! So please be by my side with this! Thank you!” Short, sweet and to the point. Giving a final perky wave to the camera, I gave my thanks following the signal of it being set and got out as fast as I got in. There was no need to linger there, it didn’t suit the style presented and wouldn’t benefit me so why bother. While I was nervous about what would come next, I knew it had to be done. Mid-promo I felt the slight buzz of my phone in my little carrier, knowing who it’d be.
“あなたの進歩の現状はどうですか?” Such impatience, I swear. Taking in a deep breath, I responded as coy and professionally as I could. I had to keep up appearances after all.
“すべてがスムーズに実行されています。最小限の接触ですが、私たちが直面していることを知るには十分です。私が言ったように、毛引きの次の段階はすぐに始まります。予定通り一週間でお会いします。どうもありがとうございました...” Sent, stated and now it just needs to be taken care of. With my eyes on the exit for now, I knew this was only the beginning. Of what? I’m not sure. Probably my demise with the kind of luck I’ve been having over the years. It’s okay though. Anything for the desired result.
