WHAT BRINGS YOU TO UPRISING?
After years of competitive fedding, I wanted to give the angled style more of a chance, see what I can truly do with it. IC, Aaryan is a rookie looking for the right jump off point.
PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: He's your friendly neighborhood reincarnated Hindu Death God. Born in Dharavi, Mumbai, one of the most wretched slums on Earth, and raised in East London. He busted his ass the right way to get out the slums and council flats. He rose up to become a college student and a signed wrestler. Like Kano says, he's a boy from the manor! (England)
STRENGTHS: Brutish physical strength and speed melds with intellect and a bizarre serenity in violence. He treats it truly as a sport: video analysis, fight camps, nutrition plans.
WEAKNESSES: He's new to the game, and he's not that savy on how the business works. Sometimes, he also holds back too much, out of fear of unnecessarily crushing somebody. He wants to beat people, not mutilate nor kill them. He has quite a bit to learn on his.
ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good. (He's a monster face; good guy, but he WILL Hulk Smash you for being a sleazy wanker!)
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED: Surprising charming and funny guy, considering he looks like he could break into a house by ripping a wall out. Puts on amazing feats of athletic ability's, and generally treats the game as a sport, instead of a sleazy shit-show.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED: Not edgelord or belligerent enough for the incel kids or angry Twit heads. He can come across as aloof and distant because he doesn't relate that well with people in some regards. (He's not into partying or a lot of things wrestlers or wrestling fans like.)
REASONS TO COMPETE:
- STEPPING STONE: Your character sees wrestling as a gateway to bigger and better things for them within their career, such as acting or modelling; something else within the public eye.
- GLORY: Your character is all about winning and cannot stand to lose. It sends them into a rage. They have to be the very best and they'll stop at nothing – for better or worse – to achieve that.
- MONEY IN THE BANK: Your character wants to be rich beyond their wildest dreams and sees wrestling (coupled with endorsements and celebrity status) as a means to achieve that.
- PASSION: All your character has ever wanted to do is wrestle. It's in their blood; their DNA. They eat, breathe and live this sport and for them it's a way of life.
ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEAMWORK:
- TOTAL TEAM PLAYER: Your character will team with anyone, even if they don't share a common interest or goal. Appreciates the benefits of friends and allies.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Sometimes (He may be a good man, but between Mumbai and East London, sometimes that council flats mentality pops up. He will retaliate if an opponent cheats.)
THEME SONG: Kano-This Is England!
WRESTLING EXPERIENCE: 2 years, collegiate level.
WRESTLING STYLE:
- THE HOSS: Relies on brute strength and size to dominate their opponent. They don't have much talent in terms of actual wrestling skill, but they can still hurt you.
- THE TECHNICIAN: Relies on a catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling, featuring a variety of suplexes, submission holds and ground-based wrestling.
MATCH TENDENCIES: If he can straight up mad-dog an opponent with brute athleticism, he will. Otherwise, he'll slow down and use the tech to break them down.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: What about outside of the ring? Are they friendly and approachable or will they be found brooding in the boiler room?
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
- OUT-WRESTLING: Beats the opponent using their preferred wrestling style.
- SUPERIOR STAMINA: Uses their superb conditioning to wait for the opponent to tire, before ending the fight on their terms.
IN-RING STRENGTHS:
Inhuman physical abilities: This is a nearly 290 lb monster that can run a 40 yard dash in under 4.4 -seconds, and run to the limit non-stop. Plus, he's a baby in wrestling terms; his health is near perfect.
Surprising composure and intelligence: He remains calm, and he approach the game the same way he approaches University; as a scholar. He doesn't get caught in feelings or blows a gasket
Surprising technique to compliment his juggernaut build.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES:
Lucha types cause problems: Smaller, more agile opponents are problematic. High flyers and fast movers are like bees buzzing around an elephant.
Rookie for real: Youngin' doesn't know how the game quite works yet. Trial by fire mode for him.
Epileptic: Always a danger to have a seizure. A head injury could be bad.
Can rely too heavily on his athletic gifts.
