NOTE: This bio is for the BLACK CRUSADE WORLDWIDE tag team of JIRITSU & PyreBird. A separate bio for the team of KATSUDO/SEIKI/CLIMAX will be posted separately.
TEAM NAME: BLACK CRUSADE WORLDWIDE
TEAM MEMBERS: Kalinda Kreigsdottir, JIRITSU, PyreBird, KATSUDO, SEIKI, CLIMAX
Notes - JIRITSU and PyreBird wrestle as a separate tag team in the tag division (teaming with Kalinda in trios matches), and KATSUDO, SEIKI, and CLIMAX wrestle as a separate trio; quartet matches are mainly Kalinda/JIRITSU/PyreBird/KATSUDO, but sometimes JIRITSU/KATSUDO/SEIKI/CLIMAX.
This application is for the tag team of JIRITSU & PyreBird.
BILLED FROM: BCWW Headquarters, in MICHINO-cho, Japan
TEAM/FACTION BIOGRAPHY:
In 2013, the mysterious JIRITSU and KATSUDO briefly appeared in out-of-ring segments in the Independent Wrestling Cartel to aid BLACK CRUSADE leader LEGION, before mysteriously disappearing from American wrestling television; this disappearance was due to them setting up the Japanese arm of the team, BLACK CRUSADE JAPAN (referred to in Japan as "KuroSeisen"), and recruiting equally mysterious teammates, the daring SEIKI, and the titanic CLIMAX.
They toured together internationally for several years while Kalinda Kreigsdottir joined the main army in 2014, and BCJP resurfaced in the United States in late 2019, revealing that they were contracted to the Fire Pro Wrestling Alliance and wrestling primarily for the FPWA Affiliate, Fire Pro METAL, and rechristened themselves as BLACK CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL to reflect their status as an internationally traveling group.
In late 2020, KATSUDO revealed during a Fire Pro METAL roster draft following a pre-taped FP-METAL event that BCI would be adding a new member, the maskless Kallie "PyreBird" Hallaheim, and BCI would once again be rebranding, now as BLACK CRUSADE WORLDWIDE to reflect their new status as a group with a worldwide reach. BCWW are now reuniting with the main army to aid their teammate Kalinda in UPRISING.
ALIGNMENT:
- BLACK CRUSADE WORLDWIDE are whatever alignment Kalinda Kreigsdottir is, regardless of any turns, cheers, boos, etc., otherwise Chaotic Neutral in general.
WHY THEY'D BE CHEERED:
Much like the APA during the WWF's beloved Attitude Era, BCWW will strike hard, fast, and (more importantly) first in their matches. People apparently seem to like that, especially when JIRITSU hits a flying knee strike or PyreBird hits a Spine-Buster.
WHY THEY'D BE BOOED:
BCWW is also fond of introducing weapons into their matches, even when DQs are on. People apparently seem to not like that very much in a match with DQs.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT:
- Sometimes
THEME SONG: 'The Tiger Warrior' (Killer Instinct 2013 - Jago's theme) – Mick Gordon
MATCH TENDENCIES: Strike hard, strike fast, strike first. If the win becomes more and more in doubt, they'll probably introduce weapons or otherwise sacrifice the win in favor of incapacitating their opponent(s) -- they are no stranger to, or enemy of, a Pyrrhic Victory, as long as they can stand dominant over the broken bodies of the conquered.
BACKSTAGE TENDENCIES: (What about outside of the ring? Are they friendly and approachable or will they be found brooding in the boiler room?)
Believe it or not, PyreBird and JIRITSU are quite lively and inviting...but it always comes with an air of suspicion and discomfort behind it, resulting in many instances of people nervously backing away even at the most innocent actions like the offering of a water bottle at catering. KATSUDO, CLIMAX, and SEIKI are far more reserved, and more likely to simply stand menacingly. They will also (also menacingly, of course) block the views of observers so that any of them can raise their mask (away from the camera, of course) to eat/drink.
FIGHT-ENDING STYLE:
- ULTRA-VIOLENCE: Focused around brutality, using weapons and their surroundings, leaving their opponent no choice but to concede defeat.
TEAM FINISHERS
1. "Return to Earth" - Roppongi 3K's "3K" (PyreBird does a Flapjack to JIRITSU doing a Flatliner/Complete Shot/Downward Spiral/etc)
2. "Brass Ring" - Tyson Kidd & Cesaro's team finisher (PyreBird does a Powerbomb as JIRITSU does a Top Rope Buff Blockbuster)
TEAM SIGNATURE MOVES
1. "Lo' Down" - PyreBird does a Superplex from one corner, followed by JIRITSU doing a high-angle Frog Splash from the adjacent corner. This will beat lower-level opponents.
2. "Blackheart Attack" - a variation of the Hart Attack, where PyreBird does a high-angled Spine-Buster and JIRITSU executes a running jumping Neck-Breaker (as opposed to Neck Breaker Lariat like Bret Hart) on the downward spike.
3. "Skyscraper German Suplex" (ground version) - JIRITSU executes a German Suplex on the opponent while PyreBird delivers a German Suplex to both of them behind JIRITSU.
4. "Skyscraper German Suplex" (corner version) - JIRITSU executes a top-rope German Suplex on the opponent while PyreBird delivers a German Suplex to both of them from the 2nd rope behind JIRITSU.
5. "Double Knock-Out" (sometimes simply called "DKO") - PyreBird delivers a vicious Elbow Strike while JIRITSU delivers a vicious jumping Knee Lift. Also done by both of them running for extra impact.
